Where DO you get the time

Why does it so often seems like you turn around and it is midnight when you raise your children? It looks like, whatever you do, sometimes, there is still much work to do with the time you're ready to go to bed. What can you do?

The first thing you need to do is find out where your time goes each day. Try to make notes one day about what you do and how long it takes. If you're feeling really ambitious, try this for a week when every day will be different, but even a day will give you an idea of how you use all your time. It may feel like you are wasting time writing these things down, and they will slow you down a bit for the day, but it can be a great help.

Take a look at what you have spent your day doing. Now assign a priority to each. How much time would you prefer to spend on each?

Now if you add all these up, you will probably find out your days are more than 24 hours long if you include time to sleep. This is how it is to be a parent.

The first thing you need to do is find out what items can be done less frequently. Can you be a little messy in the house? Can everyone else? Can you get more help from your spouse and children to keep the house clean? You'll have to decide which solution is right for you.

What about the time surfing the Internet or watching TV? Give yourself deadlines for each of these. If you have a Tivo or a VCR, you can try recording your favorite programs and watch them later, skip commercials. This not only allows you to select the time you watch your shows, it can cut down on their length.

Sometimes it can be difficult to find enough time in your day to be with your children, but most parents would call it a priority. Just remember that time with your children is not just about having fun. Even small children can help with making dinner, which may be a good time to talk with children of all ages.

We absolutely do not recommend cutting down on what meals you insist on eating as a family. This is a great thing to do as a family, and if you do not make time for family meals, find a way to do it! Although it's just dinner one evening a week together, no activities or sports to drive out of your family need time to relax together.

Finally, there are things you can cut all together? If you feel like you have been pushed into doing things for others because you are at home and "have time, do" not feel guilty about telling people that you do not have time to do things they want you to do. Your family comes first. If you really want to participate, thinking either cutting the number of hours when you need more time for yourself or your family, or volunteering for something you can do as a family.

There are only so many hours a day, and so many things you would love to get done. Take a good look at what you do, want to do and do not really need to do, and you can find ways to feel a little less overwhelmed most of the time. You will go through times when there just are not enough hours in the day, even when you know your priorities, but you can cut down on the less important things and relieve a lot of your stress.

Self-Care, the Luxury You Can Afford

Self-care is a choice. When you find yourself sorry for you because you "have to" hit the gym because you "can not" get that piece of birthday cake, or because you "want" you liked your friend who is late to do exciting things to remember that you are free to flop on the couch, has two pieces of cake or not sleeping at all.

You choose self-care.

Instead of asking "Do I have to do it all my life?" remind yourself, "I am going to do this my whole life if I keep making the choice to!"

In his book, Callings "Gregg Levoy writes:" In Afghanistan tongue cling to the verb is the same as dying. "

Our favorite self-care principle is to focus on what you want to add in, compared to what you need to go. To release the habits that you can cling to is you have to move the idea that you'll have to give up things you love to take better care of yourself.

When you begin, instead, to ADD nourishing self-care treatments, rituals and habits in your life, you are obviously ready to let go of what is not right for you. Because you have sent you the message you are worth.

You will be aware of your priorities and will naturally let go of what does not fit into the new life that you build - a new life with more energy, resistance and stress tolerance, increased joy and lightness in productivity.

TAKE IT TO YOUR PLAN Self-Care

Rod: Instead of imagining that you have to clear the clutter from the house or office, instead think of one area, you'd really like to have clear. Think about the purpose for that space must meet, what to do there what it will look like, what it feels like, and what difference it would make to your life to have this space. Then go on to create (add-in) that space.

Feelings: What is a feeling you want to feel more each day? What makes you feel that way? Add in activities, people, reading, entertainment options, or creative activities that create that feeling in you.

Come down on the couch: If you fall into "couch potato" category, try to act with "nothing" you do a "no". In the beginning it could be as simple as adding half an hour of window-shopping at your local mall. Hey, at least you up and out!

New Foods: Browse recipes at the library or in magazines and newspapers or on the internet and try a new vegetable or two. Try to eat a different colored fruits every day for a week. Change the way you eat and try entirely new things instead of just trying to find substitutes for what you are accustomed to eating. Low-fat or sugar alternatives that never seem to taste as good as the real thing ", they sometimes contain harmful additives, they are expensive and they do not encourage any lasting change or fundamental changes necessary to truly make self-care a priority.

Relationship: Think of the qualities you wish to receive more from the people in your life, and then practice GIVE qualities at every opportunity.

Instead of thinking about what you might have to give up, to practice better self-care, think about what you have to add in! And with the many forms of illness and disease linked to poor self-care habits, self-care is a luxury you can not afford to ignore!

Runaway Meetings Are The Top Time Waster At Work

A new nationwide survey finds that “Runaway” meetings are the biggest time waster at work. More than 27 percent of workers polled said meetings are the biggest culprit of inefficiency and poor productivity.

The survey was developed by Office Team, a staffing plan service specializing in skilled administrative professionals. With responses from 613 men and women, all 18 years or older, the results are a part of "Office Team Career Challenge", a project to help administrative professionals enhance their career.

With today's lean staffing, there is increasing pressure on employees to manage their time effectively. But many employers actually sabotage time management with runaway meetings and interruptions. Industry Week calls meetings "The Great White Collar Crime" estimate they are wasting 37 billion dollars a year.

Some "red flags" may indicate a mismanaged meeting:

No one in charge. If management of the meeting is not clear, there is a tendency for participants to waste time, preach their points and not draw any conclusions.

Does not start on time. This practice 'train' employees to come late and expect additional time to socialize.

Lack of goals or agenda. With no clear purpose and agenda to follow, it is easy for the meeting to get the track. Participants may not be fully aware of what needs to be discussed or for how long.

Long guest list. As a general rule, the more people at a meeting on less work. When the list of participants is large, it is often because there is a focus on not excluding anyone, not because each member's participation is necessary.

Just part of the routine. Regularly scheduled meetings can lose value, as the circumstances and personnel change. All routine meetings should be regularly evaluated to determine whether they should be kept at all.

To learn how to make meetings more productive, contact Chris Clarke-Epstein, CSP, who wrote the book, I can not take Your Call Right now I am in a meeting. The former president of the National Speaker's Association, she works with clients to help employees learn faster and work better. She offers concrete ideas to make your meetings more effective.

Idea # 1: Not every meeting should take place. The right times to schedule a meeting is when the conflict must be resolved, groups of people need to start working together or information to be shared at the same time. Meetings are a group activity so they can be effective when a group must reach consensus or rally around an idea or plan.

Idea # 2: The person calling the meeting has more to do than reserve the room. They must also consider other logistical problems, including the time necessary equipment, and food / drink. They need to take ownership of content, including preparation of an agenda and distribution of review materials. It is important to have a system to follow up on tasks and monitor the results of the meeting.

Idea # 3: Meetings are not better than the people participating in them. According to the Warton Center for Applied Research, the primary cause of unproductive meetings is not having the right people in place. The most effective participants in any meeting is: people who have the information you need people who can make decisions, and people who will implement decisions.

Idea # 4: What will be registered at a meeting has a chance to get done. All meetings need a form of collective, agreed upon memory. Without documentation, consensus can evaporate quickly. Meeting notes need to summarize the decisions made, itemize the actions agreed upon, fix accountability and document deadlines for all actions.

Idea # 5: Meetings that end without tasks are doomed to be repeated. Groups are often very good at making and incredibly bad to implement. There is a need for an identified person to implement each decision within a specific timeframe. Watch to make certain that everyone is getting some of those responsibilities.

Idea # 6: Teams to evaluate their meetings have better meetings. Take two or three minutes at the end of each meeting in order to evaluate the process. Use index cards and answer the following questions: Was it the meeting objectives met? Was the meeting format effective? Was sitting in value?

The true value of any meeting is what actually happens after the meeting. Ensure that individuals are held accountable for meeting performance. And remember, if you can not measure it, it will not happen.

Rid Yourself Of Fear, Fearlessly!

What a stupid thing to say, do not you think? Not necessarily when you know the power of creating a single photographic collage.

Reminders A Gradual Evolution

One of the most vivid symbols of modern man is the image of finger with a ribbon tied around it. This image symbolizes a reminder, not forgetting a chore, a task or an event.

One of the dilemmas of modern man is the need for reminders. We are facing so many tasks, duties and roles that we sometimes forget the details. But it is precisely this failure to remember to bring a negative impact on the many tasks that we have to juggle around. We need to be effective in our responsibilities and forget is not an option. It is because of this that we have a strong need to look for ways to remind us about the details.

The development of instruments and strategies for reminders have gone a long way. During the more low-tech years, was one of the more effective methods, which are either circling important dates in our calendar at home or take note of the reminder in a small notebook. These are good tools, but it also had its limitations, especially with calendar-at-home method, because you obviously can not take it with you. Busy mothers and working professionals are not always in one place, so there was a gradual but increasing emphasis on mobility and mobile solutions for reminders.

Because of the new mobility factor, diaries and Filofax became fashionable. The added advantage of a Filofax system is that you not only have to bring with you reminders of important data such as addresses and contact information for customers, friends and family members. For a long time, was Filofax system and other variants like the Franklin Planner, the standard for effective time management and reminder. The fact that this system was firmly entrenched not only in the company's culture, but also among the home-bound, but still busy family members says a lot about its effectiveness.

But it was only a matter of time before technology will lead to a shift in the time management and reminder systems. The advent of personal computers had a lot to do with this gradual transition to electronic equipment responsible for people reminders. Operating systems gradually included alarm, appointment and reminder functions, which are easy to use and operate. For the more mobile solutions, was one of the earliest progenitors Apple Newton, Apple's doomed foray into mobile computing.

The first really successful electronic-based time management and reminder system was the Palm handheld. The user-friendly interface, transfer and mobility were the qualities that made it an overwhelming success. It is all in one functions (address book, reminders, appointments, word processing, games) made it very attractive for many people, especially those who need power on a computer in a form factor that would allow them to bring it on the pitch. The introduction of Pocket PC's

Age of the Internet has now brought another significant change. Desire for mobile solutions has taken a different route with online reminder service that can be found on the Internet. This is a more common form of memory because not only it can be accessed anywhere there is an internet connection (which is almost everywhere because of WiFi Hotspots and Internet), these online reminder service has a unique feature in that it can send e -mail reminders to a person's mailbox on a daily basis. Reminder function now has a level of interactivity and proactive, which was missing from other previous solutions.

Paradigm Shifting The Power of Positive Thinking

Success starts with a state of mind. Christopher Columbus knew it. Thomas Edison lived it. Michael Dell and Bill Gates believe it. And Marcus Aurelius said, "Our life is what our thoughts out of it ... A man's true greatness lies in the awareness of an honest purpose in life, based on a fair assessment of himself ... "

You may ask why this is so. The formula for this is simple.

1. What you think you act. Action begins with, and is an initiative of faith. You can not act on anything you do at some level, believe in, whether you are in favor of or in opposition to a particular idea or ideal that position is held fast to your faith.

2. What you doing, you manifest. Any action you take results in some consequence. Any action in the universe has met with and equal reaction. Whether you start a conversation with a stranger, trying to learn new things or just look at food in your pantry, every action you take these things will result in a definite "re-action". Maybe it will be a new friendship. Maybe it will be deeper knowledge achieved through your research. Perhaps it will simply be dinner!

3. What you are obviously creates your reality. This is your personal paradigm.

The only variable in this process is the strength and duration of your faith. If your faith is not strong if the weak or inconsistent, then you are probably not to act on it. If you do not act on it so you can not manifest it, and it can not be a part of your reality, your personal paradigm.

It is quite difficult for most people to understand and even harder to implement. We have a tendency to repeat old mistakes and resist change, even though we know deep inside that change is inevitable. Nothing stays the same forever. There is an old saying that defines insanity as the expectation that acting in the same way will produce different results.

People who are successful and happy people who have mastered the art of change. They are not afraid to revisit their prior actions and approach their goals differently, so that they do not act the same way while expecting different results. They are not afraid to move out of their comfort zones. Rather, they understand that for growth to happen, they must have the courage to live outside their comfort zones. Page 220 of Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life states this truth beautifully, and he writes: "There is no growth without change, no change without fear or loss, no loss without pain. "Successful people know this, and let not afraid to occasionally set back (i.e. interim failure), or doubt change their views or deter them from their goal.

Have a final crystalline targets is the first part of your personal paradigm. You must be able to visualize the final end product or outcome of your goal or the final product. It must be a unique achievement that you are passionate about.

Christopher Columbus knew that he could sail west and not fall off a flat plane. He hoped to find India. He began to stumble in America, but nevertheless, he sailed west and lived to tell about it!

Thomas Edison knew that he could create a practical electric light bulb. He tested over 3000 filaments, before he found one that worked, but he did it, and he revolutionized the world!

Michael Dell knew he could overtake IBM computer Behemoth, and look at him now. Bill Gates knows that eventually "every home will have a personal computer." He is well on track to achieve this vision.

Goals, as these are not in a day. All worthwhile achievements take time. So you must be patient, consistent and persistent in your work. You must have belief in your goals to keep your desire to succeed.

By knowing this truth, you can begin to shape and mold your reality by taking steps every day to create a crystalline vision of what you want your reality to be. Be prepared, but because this is not easy. It takes work. It takes courage. And, most of all, it takes fortitude of persistence so that you put all thoughts and meetings with failure, and you see the error as an opportunity or an obstacle to overcome, but not an end in itself.

But when you have formed your vision when you set your crystalline goal as a permanent item in your thoughts, you will begin to take steps towards your goal. It is inevitable. All actions taken by your faith. Further, what you're doing, you manifest. So you'll soon find yourself attracting opportunities, ideas, solutions and people who can and will drive you to achieve your goals.

Success is no secret that is only accessible to an elite few. It is accessible to everyone all the time. It is the certainty of the power you possess - the power of your own faith to create and manifest your own personal paradigm; you success paradigm.

So we ask you what is your paradigm? What do you think?

Change Do You Do It or Does it Undo You

It has been said that change is the only constant. Change is all around us every day and every day our lives our changing. It can not be avoided. We can not bury our heads in the sand or a favored pillow and pretend it's not there.

Sometimes it creeps up slowly over time, we got older, eventually the children grow and leave, step by step our health fails.

Other times it is thrust upon us "out of the blue" divorce is upon us, our work requires that we move, we have moved from a level of success to another.

Or sometimes we wake up and realize that we have to make a change: We have all the money and lifestyle trappings we want, but there is something wrong in the center, we are not where we want to be in this phase of life, we can 't see what is next.

Change is like the water that our lives are held in, and the question becomes do you know how to navigate your yacht, sailboat or raft to and through the current changes to the best place possible? When not navigating waterways well you can be lost at sea for too long, your resources and dreams have been exhausted, you may be reduced to just existing. Recovering from an experience like this can be expensive, eating up valuable time and leave you jaded or disillusioned. Your life energy is undermined. And you are left confused and scared.

But change may be the major stimulant. In retrospect, it may be the best thing that ever happened to you. It may contain rewards that you never dreamed of. But to get access to this level of change, you have to be captain for the change. If you want the growth to success, how to set goals effectively and navigate the transition is the key. You need to muster all your internal and external resources, all your navigational skills and make it work for you, regardless of the change is.

If you do not do anything new in light of the change, you often just create the same outworn results. If you can not change your strategy, you can repeat old patterns of behavior and thinking. You miss the bigger opportunity, and you do not create the life you really want for yourself and your family.

One of our current clients is a woman who came to us during a major health, financial and relocation crisis. Change was on her big time, at almost every level, you can imagine. She had a recurrence of a cancer-based disease, she had to move across the country, her finances were scarily low. In our work together, she has moved from this place of deep insecurity and confusion to a place where she is settled, more at peace with herself than she ever has been and is now still a remarkable success wholesale. She fulfilled the dream of the kind of business and life, she has always wanted for themselves. She is building self-esteem. She could never have done it without the right kind of support, and she is the first to witness it.

Another client has suffered a divorce or loss that was blocking her from her final thesis. She was stabbed in self-doubt, procrastination, without any vision for the future.

She is now close to completing his dissertation and the last months have been exceedingly rich and empowering for her. Visions for her next step is to form. She is excited about the possibilities where previously she could not sense a direction.

Both decided to take change and make it work for them. They found the support, access to resources and built the determination that there was a need to navigate to a current that moves them clearly and safely.

When you look at their process and that other customers, we have seen a progression of steps that occurs when you move through change.

When change happens, you usually:

C: Choke-this is the time when you feel overwhelmed, confused, frightened and often do nothing. Spend too much time in this stage could undermine your energy, usurp your resources and make it more difficult to manage change.

H: Handle obstacles - you "wake up" and realize you have to do something, sometimes nothing. Occasionally people in this stage can see the priorities and begin to handle them, often avoiding the main issues in an attempt to just do something.

A: Access Support - This is a turning point. You realize that you can not do it on your own. You must have a trusted ear. You need someone who can see through the confusion about the change, and help you build a viable action plan. Albert Einstein said we can not solve a problem on the same level where it was created. To find the second level, you need someone who can look at the total picture, a person who is not overshadowed by the emotional reactions, someone who has your interests in mind.

N: New opportunities - Embedded in every change is a possibility. If you continue an old pattern of behavior or thinking - you'll miss it. Unfortunately, we often myopic when it comes to recognition of creative solutions. This step requires someone to help you see and keep the big possibility the image you may be missing.

G: Grow to the next level - This is the part that many people skip. If you do - the whole gift that is at the heart of the change will let you go. In order to "make change", to make it work for you, it is important that you develop the qualities that the skills and heart working effectively with change. As you do this you begin to recognize entirely new level of satisfaction and power in yourself. These developments are yours, you'll use them in anything you attempt in life. They become second nature.

E: Enjoy - This is the amazing scene where you can step back and look at all the experience you've been through. You recognize yourself as the primary navigator of the change. You can feel the sun of success, the warm breeze of joy when you start to really enjoy when you arrived. And you know that if necessary you can navigate CHANGE again.

Build Your Social Support Network

First, let's talk about why social support is important and why it is important that your self-care. Research has shown that a lack of social support (isolation) can contribute to a persistent state of chronic stress, which negatively affect the immune system and put you at risk for dangerous conditions.

Now, what can enhance your social support network do for you? Social support can improve the function of your immune system, protects you against disease and it can increase your vitality, reduce your stress and improve your self-esteem.

WHAT MAKES A SOCIAL Support Network SOLID?

STRENGTH - Make sure you do not expect one or two persons to provide all the support you need. It can be difficult for them and for you (if they are suddenly not able to be there for you). Reach out regularly to several people.

BLACK - Similarly, many people in your support network gives you access to their different skills, perspectives and experiences.

COMMON GROUND - If you deal with a particularly difficult challenge or have a very specific goal, then find and regularly interact with others in the "same boat" can have very positive results. Whether it is to find out how others have handled a situation, or to share some of your experiences, groups like this can be a big boost to your self-care program.

SOMETHING to reach for - Make a point of building or strengthening your relationships with people who inspire, encourage and support you and bring you to grow and be your best self. For example, a person who is very committed to his or her own self-care will inspire you to make a positive self-care choices. And one who is very loving and supportive will help you to feel comfortable.

5 ways to nurture your support network :

1. Call or write when things are good and when not. Sharing your gratitude and appreciation can help to deepen your relationships and will also reinforce your good feelings.

2. Be open to new people. You never know when someone new to come into your life, or the unique gifts they will bring. We believe that we sometimes are designed to connect with some people only briefly - so instead of thinking: "I have no time for a new friend," go with your heart and get curious about what you can learn to interact with this person.

3. Offer to help. Whether it's people you know or people you have not met yet (i.e., through a voluntary position), helping others can be a tremendous lift for your own self-care. And remember that your self-care still comes first!

4. Livers of four agreements, created by Don Miguel Ruiz - Be impeccable with your word, do not take anything personally, do not make assumptions and always do your best.

5. If you do not want to talk to someone, talk to someone. Sometimes we choose to be isolated. It can be really hard to get where we want to do this. Do it anyway.

It is important to remember that your social relationships can also have a negative impact on your self-care. Unspoken truths, inadvertent sabotage, or consistently assume the role of care-principal can all add stress and affect your engagement in self-care.

So instead, your caring positive relationships and keep your social support network strong and working for you.

A Quitter Never Wins - Winner Never Quits

Bottom line, there is the difference in mindset between a champion and just a fighter. The difference between winning and losing. It is the attitude you need to overcome all obstacles in your training and matches. Focus, hard work and dedication are some of the key factors in shaping a champion. Knowing the proper way to train / condition your mind and body will increase your chances of becoming a champion. So how do you do it? Firstly, start with your strongest asset or weapon you have, your thoughts. We are all in control of our destiny because we control our thoughts. "What the mind can believe MIND can achieve"

Many people do not like to hear it because it makes them responsible for where they are in life, it takes away excuses for not trying or not giving up. It's all about attitude that sets you apart from everyone else. DO OR DIE is the attitude you need to defeat your opponents in the ring or outside it in the real world. When you do not feel like training because you are sore, tired from a long day at work or your hand hurts, or there are other things you need to get done these excuses, you put in the way so you do not achieve your goals. You have to train and condition your mind to focus on your goals, so you have a burning desire to get it.

If two opponents of equal strength and fighting ability steps into the ring the man with the stronger mind will prevail. Here are some ways to train your brain to have the edge over your opponent. Take time to visualize the battle or technique in your mind with a clear, detailed and realistic picture for 10-30 minutes twice a day once in the morning when you wake up and before going to sleep. This will be positive signals to your subconscious.

Find a quiet place at home, sit or lie down, what makes you comfortable and begin to visualize.

Always visualize what you want to do, not what your opponent will do, because you can only manage yourself.

Visualize you are always moving fast, easy and be victorious, standing over your opponent with your arms up in the air with the championship belt around your waist.

Visualize as if you have already achieved your goal, smelling scents of the arena. Taste the salt from your sweat on your lips. Hear the audience shouting your name. FEEL and touch the championship belt around your waist and audience energy as you put your hands up in victory.

Surround yourself with positive people who pressure you to be your best, believe in yourself and your goals and will help you achieve it. Supporting people around will help deflect negative thinking and will rub off on you, we become who we hang out with.

Read biographies of your idols on the obstacles they overcame to get to where they are today.

The key to visualization is to have 100% belief and faith that you will achieve your goal, and this is your purpose and destiny. Push away any doubts you have when it comes into your mind and negative thoughts will lift the positive message. After a while the good it will be easier to believe what you tell yourself. The mind can not tell what is real or imagined, when you keep telling it no. You will unconsciously begin to believe these messages. attract people in your life that will help you reach your goal and you will start ACTING, training and fighting like a champion.

Hat-trick for missile technologists, armed forces

In a hat-trick for missile technologists and the armed forces in the last two days, Agni-I, which can carry nuclear weapons and has range of 700 km, was flight-tested successfully from the Wheeler's Island, off the Orissa coast, on Sunday. The ship-based Dhanush and Prithvi-II were test-fired in a salvo mode on Saturday. The medium range surface-to-surface Agni-I, fired at 1.07 hours from a mobile launcher, homed in on the target within a few metres of accuracy as it splashed down in the Bay of Bengal. The launch was carried out by Army personnel as part of a training exercise.
Best-ever launch
Describing it as one of the best-ever launches, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) officials said the specialised navigation and guidance system enabled the missile to reach the target with a high degree of accuracy after a 500-second flight duration. During the course of the flight, it reached an altitude of 300 km and re-entered the atmosphere, withstanding high temperatures of more than 2,000 degree Celsius, as specially-developed heat shields provided protection to the electronic components and the payload. The radars and electro-optical tracking system along the coast monitored the missile's path and trajectory-related parameters in real time. Two down-range naval ships, about 700 km from the Wheeler's Island, tracked the missile reaching the target.

Harbhajan sizzles in Mumbai win

They say a Twenty20 match can be won in ten minutes of violent batting or inspired bowling. Harbhajan Singh needed only 18 balls when he batted, and just one delivery when he bowled, to win the game for Mumbai Indians. Double-strikes from RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha had reduced Mumbai to 119 for 7, but Harbhajan played a wickedly-entertaining cameo to charge his team to 172. He wasn't done yet and opened the bowling to remove Adam Gilchrist with his second delivery, dealing the most crippling blow to the Deccan Chargers chase. The game changed in a Mumbai minute at the DY Patil Stadium. When Harbhajan entered in the 17th over Mumbai had lost the plot after a good start, but he led a stunning turnaround with an 18-ball 49. He hit a six and a four off Andrew Symonds in the 18th over but it was in the next, bowled by Kemar Roach, who until then had looked impressive, that he went berserk. Harbhajan started with a slapped four over extra cover before swinging merrily to the on side, including a shovelled six over square-leg, to plunder 19 runs. In the final over bowled by two bowlers - Jaskaran Singh was no-balled out of the innings after hurling two beamers and Rohit Sharma finished the over- Harbhajan crashed four boundaries, this time concentrating on the straight boundary.

Deepika Padukone sizzles on the ramp at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone walked the ramp on the fourth day of the ongoing 15th edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WLIFW) Autumn-Winter 2010 here on Saturday. Designers G Pia Fleming and Namrata Joshipura showcased their collections on the fourth day, with Padukone being their showstopper. Fleming's collection, showcasing mostly evening gowns, in the palette of whites, greys and off-whites, was inspired by the Broadway musicals of New York. Her motive is to present a collection for the red carpet at Indian award ceremonies. Padukone wore a cream-coloured gown designed by Fleming. "I think both their collections were completely different. Pia's was a lot more floral, lot more girly. Even in terms of colour, I think there were more pastel shades, whites, grey and off-white. Even the mood of the show was a lot more dreamy and musical," said Padukone. The WLIFW-AW 2010, hosted by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), will witness the participation of 130 designers, 75 of them also presenting shows and among whom 19 are debutants. The fashion extravaganza will feature 43 shows.

BSE Sensex to tread water; Bharti Airtel watched

The BSE Sensex should see resistance on Monday after registering seven straight weekly gains, with mixed Asia markets providing little clear direction. Bharti Airtel will be in focus after Zain chairman said over the weekend the Indian mobile operator's plan to buy most of the African assets of the Kuwaiti firm could take months to close. Top utility vehicle and tractor maker Mahindra and Mahindra will be watched after the Economic Times reported on Saturday the company was likely to freeze investments in its joint venture with French carmaker Renault. The MSCI's measure of Asian markets other than Japan was up 0.5 percent by 0259 GMT, while Japan's Nikkei dropped 0.5 percent. The Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were down 0.1 percent. The 30-share BSE index rose 0.4 percent last week to 17,644.76 points, taking gains over seven consecutive weeks to nearly 11 percent.

Congress leaves Abhishek in the dark?

Only a few days ago Junior B was at work promoting Earth Hour. Yet, during the hour itself a video message from him was not played out at an event in Delhi. An event which was attended by Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit. (Watch: Abhishek Bachchan's message on Earth hour) Abhishek Bhachchan expressed his disappointment on twitter: I had sent a video message for all at the event, thanking them for their participation and support, but for some reason that couldn't be shown, he tweeted. And on his blog, Amitabh Bachchan wrote: A few hours before the show was to start apparently the audio visual featuring Abhishek has been asked to be removed and banner posters bearing his photograph as Ambassador have been stopped from being displayed!! And I wonder. Am I hallucinating, or is there a pattern in all this? Dikshit, who had attended earlier promotions of the event with Abhishek says she is clueless. "I have no information about this, we had gone there since we were part of this initiative, there was suppose to be a song and speech, I have no idea about anything else," she said. On Saturday, Maharashtra Chief minister Ashok Chavan showed up at a literary conference ahead of his scheduled appearance on Sunday, when he would have shared the stage with Amitabh Bachchan. Since he's turned brand ambassador for Narendra Modi's Gujarat, the actor seems to have become persona non grata with the Congress. (Read: Chavan avoids sharing dais with Amitabh Bachchan)

Super Kings get a Royal bashing

The Deccan Chargers paid the price of sledging Yusuf Pathan on Friday. But where did the Chennai Super Kings go wrong on Sunday? They didn’t resort to unnecessary gamesmanship, so what triggered their defeat? Shane Warne had the answer on the eve of the match. “We don’t just rely on one player. We don’t entirely rely on Yusuf (Pathan). In a couple of games, he didn’t perform, so when he performs it’s a bonus for us and it’s great to watch. Everyone contributes and that’s why we are a good side,” he had said. Playing their last match in Ahmedabad on Sunday, it was expected that the Royals would turn the heat on the opposition. And it was Naman Ojha, who seized the opportunity to score a brilliant 80 in his team’s 17-run win over Chennai. The Royals won the toss and elected to bat. The openers didn’t fluff their lines this time as Michael Lumb smote Albie Morkel for a sizzling six and Ojha drilled a four through a packed off-side field. Thirteen runs from the first over set the tone for the match. The Royals we re chugging at 10 runs an over when a slower one from Albie Morkel in his second over consumed Lumb. Though the run-rate dipped slightly, it never went below nine an over. Ojha played a freewheeling innings, dispatching the short balls to the fence and tucking the fuller deliveries into the gaps. At the halfway mark, the Royals were 96 for 1 and a score of 180 looked imminent. Shadab Jakati struck with two quick wickets but Ojha’s big hitting helped the Royals post a 178-run target. Warne introduced Yusuf into the attack and the all-rounder removed Matthew Hayden with a smart return catch. Murali Vijay threatened by scoring 24 runs in Sumit Narwal’s second over. The Chennai opener looked to turn the match on its head when a direct throw from Yusuf changed the course of the match. The contest was still evenly poised when MS Dhoni and S Badrinath played with caution. But the Chennai skipper’s run out seemed to peg them back. Shrewd bowling changes and a brilliant team effort once again was the highlight of the Royals’ victory. And one more win will bolster their chances of a final four berth.

Royals on a mission

To say that Shane Warne is an instinctive cricketer will be an understatement. The Aussie spin legend’s career is replete with stories of great escapes and miraculous recoveries. And, after the Rajasthan Royals’ second-straight win on Wednesday, millions of Warne fans will be hoping to see another magical performance in the IPL from the leg spinner. Two straight wins after three consecutive defeats is a phenomenal comeback. The way Warne has galvanised the team and overcome injury worries tells a lot about the skipper and his group of obedient disciples. Michael Lumb’s stroke-bedecked 41 after a golden duck against the Kolkata Knight Riders will give the Royals opener the much-needed confidence. Struggling to get the opening combination going, Lumb’s form will bring some relief. The Royals need someone like Jacques Kallis to carry his bat through while allowing others to play around him. While Adam Voges props up the middle order, guys like Naman Ojha, Faiz Fazal, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala and Yusuf Pathan have to play the cameos to prevent the run-rate from slouching. And, just like their clinical performance against Punjab, the Royals bowlers have to be tidy against Deccan Chargers batsmen. The likes of Adam Gilchrist, Herschelle Gibbs and Andrew Symonds like to play attacking shots and any opportunity to swing the bat won’t be missed.

Tendulkar puts Mumbai Indians on Top

Mumbai Indians delivered yet another morale-crushing defeat on Chennai Super Kings in their DLF-IPL III league match at the Brabourne Stadium here on Thursday. Sachin Tendulkar and Shikhar Dhawan, determined not to be weighed down by the asking rate of nine an over, stayed ahead of the demanding run rate by galloping at 10 runs in the Power Play overs. Left-hander Dhawan, chosen ahead of Sanath Jayasuriya for the second time in the competition, dominated the thundering start as the excited home crowd roared in approval. Dhawan fell to left-arm spinner Shadab Jakati, Saurabh Tiwary to Muttiah Muralitharan and Rajagopal Sathish to Joginder Sharma, but Kieron Pollard struck the ball hard and long for a crucial fourth-wicket stand that produced 39. Eventually, skipper Tendulkar's 72 (52b, 8x4, 1x6) won him the Man-of-the-Match award and his team its fourth victory in five games. Earlier, the Super Kings batsmen were determined to make amends once Tendulkar asked them to take first strike. After Ryan McLaren conceded just five in the first over of the innings, Matthew Hayden flayed Zaheer Khan for four boundaries in the second.

Bharti forms two special Vehicles for Zain deal

The SPVs will own the acquired assets and will repay the debt from the cash flows from the African operations, but Bharti will step in if there is a default, the newspaper said on Friday. A spokesman for Bharti declined to comment on the report. On Thursday, Bharti, India's top mobile operator, said it was close to sealing its purchase of Kuwaiti group Zain's African assets giving it a foothold in the frontier market at its third attempt. The Indian firm had said on Sunday it had tied up the entire financing requirement of $8.3 billion for the planned buy, through a host of banks. The newspaper said that $5.5 billion would be routed through the Netherlands entity, and the remaining through the Singapore SPV, citing an unidentified person familiar with the details. It also said that Zain agreed to compensate Bharti for legal costs in case an ownership dispute erupts over the crucial Nigerian operations, which contribute 36 percent to its African revenues. South Africa-based Econet Wireless is disputing Zain's ownership of one of its most important operations, Zain Nigeria.

Wills India Fashion Week gets delayed

The much-hyped Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week got a setback soon after it kicked off in the capital today, when Delhi police did not give No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the show. As reported by a website, the show organizers failed to get clearance from fire department; as a result, the event was delayed. Designer Nida Mahmood, who was to open the fashion week with her collection along with accessory designer Little Shilpa at 12 pm, was almost in tears at the unexpected delay. "My models were ready, everything was done, I was backstage when I heard that the show is so delayed. I don't know what's going to happen," Nida said. Other designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Leena Singh, Ritu Kumar and JJ Valaya too were seen wandering around the venue, wondering when the show will begin. Food inflation eases to 16.22%

India's food prices eased for the third straight week in mid-March while fuel inflation remained steady, but the central bank is still seen raising rates the second time in as many months in April. The central bank surprised markets with a 25 basis point hike in its key lending rate last week to tame headline inflation that is near 10% and warned of a build up in demand-side pressures on the economy. Data on Thursday showed the fuel price index rose 12.68% in the year to March 13, flat on the week. The federal government had raised motor fuel prices in late February. The food price index rose an annual 16.22% in the year to March 13th, lower than the previous week's reading of 16.30%. Analysts and policymakers see this trend continuing on a higher base and as supplies of winter-harvested crop reach the market.

The Failure is Sundered Within

This error was separated within each of us, it manifests as the blame to others, an expression of shame does not belong to ourselves but to the participants in a deadly game. Once the innate influence begins with our own visceral manu mission of guilt, and unfortunately, empirically is buried in our own personal mistakes.

We are considering all that seems inherently wrong. We wake up to ourselves every morning and gaze at the soul that stares back at us and ask: "What can I tell if such a thing?" Politically, we are involved in countless wars, our political system has become moribund and incapable of decisive and thoughtful long-term positive actions. We have also succeeded in creating a global warming process that may not be reversible, with unfathomably devastating consequences. But we no longer trust our scientific community, we undermine their ability to help them to help us make informed decisions. Companies are now the new soulless leaders of the same community that we raise our children: our children, pain and suffering not resist, but are feeding their institutionalized thought and labor. Lobbyists, but jackals who veil and allow the lack of clear and forward looking, as would be required to navigate through the difficult times.

Woe be to the participants: It excoriated politicians, confused and parse scientists, insensitive and automatonic companies, jack-booted lobbyists with their parochial obfuscations, and still bureaucrats, the ever-tenacious managers of the status quo. All are to blame. It becomes quite confusing, and so we will throw our hands and hope that serendipity might take us to the promised land of the Bible and the Koran paradises without responsibility and perfect harmony forever. When we wake up every morning and look in the mirror, it should be obvious failure. Our face staring back at us in silent mirth smirking at our lack of insight. How convenient that they should all give themselves as cannon fodder for our obvious shortcomings.

Chaos complexity theory applies here in its truest sense. Things are not so simple, and are becoming increasingly complex and still requires more attention then before. The problems today are more complicated, no pandering to a simple explanation is a pathetic definition of ignorance. There is no backwoods colloquialisms are appropriate to a particular situation today analogies aside. The query is what we know as a collective, self-defined by what we know individually and how we apply that knowledge so we can make informed decisions in our lives, both as a people. Requires less doom us to fail because the founders of democracy, not in ancient Greece.

Guilt is a primal emotion that we all feel and are all too familiar with its cold touch narcissistic. We wrap ourselves in a comforting cocoon reasons, but because it is ur feeling it is useless to try to escape his darker touch. It declares us to be unfit fathers and mothers, a chronic waster of precious time, his ball peen steeliness pounding in our failures that we truly are. But what an enlightened group, we have been, and let us pat ourselves on the back as congratulations because self-help nation in its goal of declaring victory in its war guilt, the stopper's performance and regulating it to some type of psychosis. Perhaps there may be a reason for guilt to be a vital emotion that it is possible that the survival of our species requires the most annoying and pervasive form of thinking. Is complete victory condescend those of us who can justify anything?

The fault is ours, in each and every one of us. Ask yourself what you know about history? Middle Eastern history could be of value at this point, but what pray tell do you know any of the underlying political issues today? Have you studied them, or listening to the ever-shortening descriptions supplied by another, you may know, or maybe 15 seconds slogans distributed by our media? What do you know the education system we currently use? What do you know about stem cell research? Are some of the short summaries, you've heard something you would be pleased if you or your loved one's life depended on it? What is string theory? For that matter, is what quantum physics? It has existed for 75 years, and it is really too complicated, or are you really so lazy that you just could not spare the time? When was the last time you took a book, a real book, not a piece of tripe? We know that you suffer from the guilt we do and we read fifty or odd Tomes one year, we all suffer, and should.

Debt is defined as the punishment you can get when convicted of a moral wrong. Our punishment is as above and fully entitled to inborn errors in each of us not to take the time to be overly educated and enlightened, that never reach what we do know that no search and forever satisfy the emptiness in our knowledge. Guilt has convicted us and deliver the punishment, as we speak.
