The Best Manager in the World

Summary

What would the best manager in the world look like? Imagine what behavior and the properties they own and wanted to show. Now imagine that this manager was you.

Let's take a look at the anatomy of a great leader and how you can take these attributes into your own leadership style.

Leadership

Give strategic direction. The best leaders always outline the strategic direction for the company. They understand that team members need to complete their individual roles relate to the overall objective for the company.

Leadership. Great Managers show leadership. They always act and behave as leaders. They are fast, timely and direct action when necessary to silence or lack of permission to sit, when a still mind and patience is required.

Put my priorities. A Manager is specifically an overview of the main priorities for each team member. This should be in writing and orally. It should be clear how they relate and align with overall business strategy.

Give me some skin in the game. The art of motivating people include the ability to give them a piece of skin in the game. Under the skin in the game may take the form of monetary benefits such as bonuses, incentive schemes, employee share scheme, profit or equity. If unavailable, use the great leaders of other incentives such as promotional opportunities, overseas postings, parties, extra holidays and experiences money cannot buy. Let's face it - we want all those problems if we can really contribute to business success.

Empower Me. The best leaders empower people. We all know people you will run through brick walls and climb Mt.Everest achieve its goals. They often have an infectious enthusiasm, a spark and a white that rubs off on you. You enjoy working with them and feel empowered to choose their words and visions.

Management

Operational Rolling Contact. Outstanding Managers created rolling check-in points to see how operational. They commit to this and so let you do it in between. These mini check-ins, you can ask questions, offer solutions and get important feedback in real time.

Regular 1-1's. In addition to operational roles of focal points to ensure the best leaders that they meet you for a 1-1 together at regular intervals. These are often done off-site and take on a "big picture" approach to your performance.

Give constructive feedback. Getting people to change behavior through an effective and constructive feedback is always delivered. Praise the first critical seconds. Use concrete examples or "stories" to make a point. Individuals can easily tell stories, and the best leaders know it. You want the individual to the point that you cannot remember the sharpness of your criticism.

Timely input. Great Managers provide timely input. If things go off track in a week in the month they wait months for the final evaluation. They jump on the issue in a week and to discuss how the problem can be solved in three weeks to a month. The second important observation is that the team you need when you need it. Available. A capacity.

Support & Loyalty. All ultimately want to support and loyalty. If people want to go to war for you and the activities they need your support. Real genuine support of the heart. Besides the continued support will come a time maybe once a year you will have even longer to show loyalty to them. This is a pivotal moment in the life of a manager.

Focus on Me

Engage Me. Nobody ever goes to work for a bad day. We are looking for all the dedication and Managers get this. The wounds, bounce ideas you for advice and encourage involvement. Taking individuals out to client meetings, sending letters and keeping people connected. Engagement is the sister of empowerment.

Provide flexibility. Being a contrarian is often a big fancy Managers. Work can be oppressive rules sewing. The best leaders seek to exploit this. They can tell the staff to come in late, knock off at lunch or play a round of golf the rest of the week off because of a death in the family to take. This flexibility over the timing and emotional intelligence.

Show an interest in me. We all have an ego. You cannot live without. We all naturally feel better when people show their interest for us. The best leaders have a genuine interest in their team. The balance in this personal and professional interest in the underlying integrity and authenticity of each couple.

Assistance. When the employees in the trenches stressed and they just bleed a little help. The best leaders are identified from time to time and devote resources to help, offer help or even to listen with empathy.

Leave blank Business Humor can be pretty serious a lot of time. The best leaders know how to diffuse a situation with light humor just to let everyone know that they are all still alive. Sharing a laugh while you work makes the day go faster and creates a healthy workplace. Large fund managers advanced and have great skill in finding the balance between serious and lighter moments.
