The best of Big B

The two Bs have always made their love for each other very clear. One the Big B, and the other — namma Bengaluru. Despite the series of impromptu press interactions through the day, Amitabh Bachchan had reserved his wittiest and classiest best for the press meet of Rann at Taj Residency. The hall was jam-packed, the cameras just wouldn't stop clicking away and the scribes themselves could not resist passing around their notepads for a quick autograph of the Big B. “I missed a picture with him but I am going to trail him till I get a picture clicked with him. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity,” one mediaperson was heard saying. The excitement, curiosity, anxiety and the energy was palpable. Does Big B find the media too intrusive since the Bachchan Khandaan is always in the news, be it for marriage or a possible pregnancy? “I am a public figure and if I am seen in a public place how can I stop the media from doing its work?” he shot back. Actors themselves seem to have got out on the streets to promote the film? “Yes, looks like actors today are paid to promote the film than to act in it. There are more mediums of communication available today and I don't see why we shouldn't go all out to tap that publicity potential,” Bachchan quipped. Big B and his team were brought in through the back door and were whisked away at the same speed with which they were brought in. Later that evening, Big B watched Paa with the CM at PVR.
