China Civil War

From 1937 to today, the number of deaths in the Chinese troops reached over one million and more than 10 million in civilian casualties. In Japan, died only about 400 thousand troops.

After the end of the war, Chang and Mao discussed national plans in Chongqing. Negotiations were slow. Especially in the case of a harmonization of national troops, local self-government and establishing the Constitution, is not resolved. What was agreed was merely to avoid a civil war and the establishment of new China of independent, liberated and powerful. Of CCP reduced the number of military hands, and pulled towards the goal of avoiding a civil war.

In January 1946 a military truce was arranged. An atmosphere of peace and reunification was imminent. However revealed Kuomintang failed to comply with this truce, and began to kill the opposition.

Start of civil war:

In the area of the liberation of the CCP, on the other hand, though people blame landowners who were killed or oppressed people in the last war, and also bring them to justice, sometimes performing them. Energy of the people was set to land reform. Progress in land reform made people's revolutionary zeal higher.

It also made the conflict with the Kuomintang, supported by the landowners even more critical. In danger of entering a civil war that the U.S. efforts to intervene. But the effort may not modify Chang's willingness to crush the CCP. Eventually a civil war started in July 1946th

Land reform was promoted in the landscape, while the confusion that had already begun in cities. At the end of the war, soldiers and officers came back to cities. Initially, people welcomed them with enthusiasm. But people were disappointed soon. The officials monopolized by factories or warehouses Japanese people owned in the past.

Besides the government issued banknotes since the civil war started, so at the end of the war, inflation was getting out of control. Prices in 1947 were up to a hundred and fifty thousand times as much as before the Civil War listed. Productivity decline more and more, and the number of people starving to death was over ten million just a year in 1946.

China was in chaos more than once controlled by Japan and the puppet regime. Disturbance and the student movement happened anywhere. So Kuomintang killed in the confusion, but at the time, public confidence in the Kuomintang had all but lost in their lack of credibility.

Taiwan:

Taiwan was performed according to Japan for around fifty years from the Japanese victory in 1895. When control of Japan had ceased with the end of the war, the people were much happier. But had Kuomintang seems like a conqueror and oppressed peoples. The people determined to fight against the Kuomintang. They fought for human rights, but the Kuomintang leader arrested and executed him. After that, Taiwan was under control of the Kuomintang.

Communist victory:

An early years of civil war, the Kuomintang was dominant over the CCP. And Kuomintang occupied Yanan, "capital" of the common trade marts 1947th But it was just the consequence CCP predicted. The CCP had been prepared for a wait to win popular support. CCP had been able to find people's favor by promoting a land reform. The people supported the CCP. At the last People's Red Army began to counterattack Kuomintang scattered in different cities.

In January 1949 Chang resigned. In the negotiations for peace between the Kuomintang and the CCP Kuomintang obliged to surrender unconditionally. But Kuomintang refused to accept it. Is this rejection initiated People's Red Army an all-out attack. They occupied large cities such as Nanjing and Shanghai, swing Kuomintang in the south. And in December People's Red Army occupied all the major country except Taiwan. Chang had fled to Taiwan with, followed by five hundred thousand soldiers.

Finally, the CPP won a victory in the Civil War by winning the people's enthusiastic support.

"Without doubt one of the most remarkable example of several small but dedicated and well-organized troops took the troops that were more important but declining morale and not popular."
