China Civil War

From 1937 to today, the number of deaths in the Chinese troops reached over one million and more than 10 million in civilian casualties. In Japan, died only about 400 thousand troops.

After the end of the war, Chang and Mao discussed national plans in Chongqing. Negotiations were slow. Especially in the case of a harmonization of national troops, local self-government and establishing the Constitution, is not resolved. What was agreed was merely to avoid a civil war and the establishment of new China of independent, liberated and powerful. Taiwan:

Communist victory:

The CCP had been prepared for a wait to win popular support. CCP had been able to find people's favor by promoting a land reform. The people supported the CCP. In January 1949 Chang resigned. In the negotiations for peace between the Kuomintang and the CCP Kuomintang obliged to surrender unconditionally. But Kuomintang refused to accept it.
