Sania calls off Engagement with Sohrab

Sania Mirza's professional tennis career has been on the downslide. And now, her personal life too is taking a beating. The out-of-form player has called off her engagement with longtime friend Sohrab Mirza on grounds of incompatibility. The announcement, which was made as Sania crashed out of the Australian Open, comes as a surprise. Just days before the Australian Open, Sania had announced that she would quit tennis once she got married. Sohrab is studying in the UK. While it's not clear what made Sania change her mind within two weeks, her comments gave enough indication that things were not working out between the two. "We were friends for half a decade, but found ourselves incompatible during our engagement period. I wish Sohrab the best in life," Sania said.
