Procrastination Solutions

We assume that you have encountered some form of hesitation in your life. For those of you who do not struggle with hesitation. Congratulations! We find particularly frustrating reluctance to handle when it disguises itself as irritability, confusion and anger, pointing our hearts and minds away from where the real causes lie.

Procrastination is an interim solution to cover or push away intense feelings in the creative process. Some commercials feel anxiety before starting a project. Others feel depressed in the middle to create a project. Still others struggle is unable to complete a project, especially one that comes closest to realizing a part of their artistic visions. They do not want to take the unknown to explore a new project.

Procrastination is a form of self-sabotage. We call it a short-term last resort. If you let go hesitation, it can take over your life. In the following exercises, we can increase your awareness of how delay can interfere with your work. Remember to choose to work an exercise in time. Take your time when you write. Be patient when you begin to respond to these two exercises. Let your mind and heart gently guide you to a deeper understanding and commitment to change.

Shortlist:

Lists are easy to write in your journal. If you can write a laundry list, so you can write a journal list. Feel free to choose the tools that work best for you. We prefer to use a combination of our calendar, some target files (PC), index cards and our memory. When we are creating lists, as we have access to both flexible tools (short memory) and a workable structure (the previous lists and some target files). Remember to write a clear, easy to read, and detailed task list.

Purpose: To increase your awareness of your motivation:

What part of making this creative project do you like?

What are your feelings about this creative project? (all emotions)

Calculate your opposition's opinions and your opinions motivated

Look for any similarities and differences (use this information to answer the next question)

Look for ways to increase your motivational actions and reduce your hesitation acts.

Congratulations! You've chosen your new goals.
