Happy hour card:it's always happy hour with this card.

O.C. entrepreneur provides link between penny pinching partyers and businesses. Nick Crane couldn't have picked a better time to start his new business, HappyHourCard in Fountain Valley. During a recession, consumers want to save money and businesses want customers. HappyHourCard links the two. HappyHourCard is an entertainment membership concept that provides discounts at more than 150 Orange County restaurants, bars, nightclubs and movie theaters. It's like those entertainment books without the printing costs. Crane calls it "a socially acceptable alternative to coupons." He's making a veiled reference to entertainment books often sold through fundraisers by nonprofit groups in different cities. These books have been around for decades and have coupons for shopping, home furnishings and car care in addition to entertainment venues. HappyHourCard concentrates on bars, restaurants, nightclubs and movie theaters.
