PFI : Program organized to promote education

Muslim toppers of Uttar Kannada district were felicitated in a program organized to promote education, by Popular Front of India (PFI). The 'School Chalo Program' was held at Sirsi in the meeting hall of Tameer Co-operative Bank, Sirsi. The program was the last sequel of the a month-long campaign organized to create awareness regarding education, under which an educational survey of Muslim families of Uttar Kannada district was held during which the importance of education was explained to the villagers. The valedictory function of the 'School Chalo Program' by Popular Front of India' was presided over by the district president of the front, Mr. Ashfaque Sayed, on Monday morning at 10:30am. On this occasion, the chairman of Urban Co-operative Society Sirsi was present as the chief guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion, retired DFO, Mr. Rahmathullah Quazi, said that children should be trained to be a good human being at an early age, so that they should emerge as an important asset for the country, otherwise it would be impossible for the parents to modify them later.
