SIFE India competitions began today with 6 teams

The first leg of the SIFE India competitions began today with 6 teams competing with each other to decide which amongst them will represent their region in the SIFE India National Competition. Following a tough competition with other SIFE Teams within Delhi, Amity University and Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies emerged as winners at Delhi Regional Competition of SIFE India. Both the teams will compete with 13 teams from other regions for the coveted position of SIFE India National Champion on 3rd July 2009, at Mumbai. The national event is one of the 40 SIFE National Competitions being held across the globe this year. The Winner SIFE Team of the SIFE India National Competition, will advance to the 2009 SIFE World Cup in Berlin, Germany from 4-6 October. "SIFE India through its educational outreach programs enables students of India to put to use what they have learnt inside the classroom with communities around them thereby spreading the spirit of Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise. What these students do today will enable India achieve developed Nation status sooner,” said Keshav R Murugesh, Chairman, SIFE India and CEO of Syntel Inc., a leading global IT and KPO player.
