BEIJING, Aug 18, 2009 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- DL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- China Distance Education Holdings'(DL.NYSE) unaudited third fiscal quarter financial results show that net profits collapsed to 90,000 US dollars from the 500,000 dollars in Q3 of 2008. Its total revenue managed to jump 78.6 percent year on year to 8.3 million dollars, according to its three-month financial results ending June 30 released earlier on Tuesday. Gross profit also managed to climb to 3.8 million dollars, up 44.6 percent over the same period one year prior, though the gross margin sank 10.9 percentage points to 46.3 percent. Per ADR earnings and fully diluted earnings both checked in at 0.003 dollars, slightly less than the 0.004 dollars in Q3 of the previous fiscal year. Based on the gloomy quarter three results, the company predicts its next quarter total revenue to be 9.5-11.5 million dollars, with future amendments possible.
