First, break the routine. In a relationship, you must be creative. You have to anticipate or feel what the other wants or hate so therefore you try to surprise him or her with something pleasant and fun. By being resourceful, you can spice things up in concert and it is never a dull moment between you two. If you let a routine install itself, I can guarantee that it can get ugly and tension will build up gradually. If you're out of ideas, try something new that you might not want, but you know your spouse, or maybe something that you both have never tried before, although it may seem strange. Keep it interesting and exciting!
Secondly, do not be a hypocrite and a jerk. Relationship greatly on trust and communication. If you do not believe in any longer, is it all just goes downhill and could come to a horrible end, and unless you hate the other person, I do not think you want. Be truthful and expects the same from your companion else the worst will happen. You can bet on it.
Third, jealousy is a good thing! There are two types of this feeling: healthy and unhealthy. If your partner is glaring at other people checking you out, it's a good thing because it makes you feel that he or she appreciates you and does not want to lose you. Do not be afraid to communicate that feeling as a companion has a good chance of suffering that you love him or her enough that you are somewhat possessive. Do not go into the unhealthy side though! If you start to beat or harm others, because they seem to flirt with your boyfriend or girlfriend, perhaps others think you are a control freak who wants to keep everything for themselves. Worst case scenario, you will be treated as a complete lunatic and your children can fall apart!
In a relationship, you should be able to trust each other, express your feelings properly and keep everything exciting and fun. Do not think because you have negative feelings like jealousy, it is a bad thing. Talk with your partner so he or she can understand you better and can even laugh about it with you. Always remember that communication is an important aspect!
